Hey there... we are TheatreState.

 

We make theatre shows, musicals, audio plays, podcasts and whatever feels like it might be fun for an audience. We work with actors and people new to performance to co-create shows and projects.

Our work blends the personal with the political to reimagine the world as we know it.

 

We are proudly based in Leeds but make work all over the UK and beyond.

We are Ali Ford and Tess Seddon and all the brilliant people who create and participate with us.

 

In 2019 we were awarded the NESTA democracy pioneers award for our work on Say Yes to Tess - a new musical about when Tess got dumped and ended up standing in the general election.
